What will you do?
In this role, you will manage employees in daily production operations while remaining focused on their safety. You will help enforce company policies, standards and help drive a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day safety, operation of the department and its employees on the shop floor
Responsibilities will include policy enforcement, oversight of performance management, and time-keeping.
Assist in the training of new hire employees and ongoing education for the team.
Expedite shop orders through the department.
Coordinate with management and/or employees from other departments in the manufacturing/fabrication/assembly process.
Help team to maintain machines and work area in a clean and safe manner.
Base schedule is 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, Monday - Thursday

Key Competencies:
Strong Safety Focus
Consistent shop floor presence (2/3 of shift)
Experience in one or all of the following is preferred: manufacturing, welding; metal fabrication; machining
Have previous supervisory/management experience
Able to read blueprints
Excellent communication skills; able to converse professionally with shop and office employees, supervisors, and plant management
Proficient with performance management, including plans of action and evaluations
Proficient with MS Office
Detail-oriented
Multi-task on a consistent basis throughout the shift
Average math skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete logs, documents, and reports in English
Work with others and be a team player
