Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager has the primary responsibility of achieving the aftermarket sales plan, protecting current product lines and market share, and winning new business opportunities with assigned defense customers including, Robins AFB/ALC, Wright Patterson, Navair and NavSup. Relationships with customers are on both tactical and strategic levels. The Regional Sales Manager will have customers consisting of Department of Defense agencies, Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs) and distribution networks and serves as the customer advocate with responsibility for managing the customer relationship throughout the whole life cycle. The Regional Sales Manager has responsibility for capturing and communicating the "Voice of the Customer" to drive improvements in our business that results in improved customer satisfaction. As the primary face to the customer, the Regional Sales Manager will play a significant role in determining company strategies to optimize current and future business opportunities.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and meet the bookings and sales plan for assigned customers; Identify and communicate new opportunities; Monitoring market and technology trends; Assist in establishing strategies and executing plans to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Act effectively as the customer champion and advocate within Crane Aerospace & Electronics; Establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the customer organization; Understand and communicate current and future customer needs and expectations throughout Crane Aerospace & Electronics

  • Develop and/or support the proposal activities to sustain and win new business

  • Facilitate efficient communication and mediate customer disputes

  • Provide timely support in resolving customer issues, preparing proposals, and responding to customer requests

  • Develop, communicate and execute key customer strategies that will lead to profitable growth and improved customer satisfaction

  • Define customer’s requirements for Crane Aerospace & Electronics capabilities and products, support the group in acquiring and monitoring competitor intelligence, and preparing capture plans, market analysis, proposals and customer briefings

  • Communicate customer procurement forecast to Crane Aerospace & Electronics in support of demand system planning

  • Capture and communicate the "Voice of the Customer" within the company; Drive the organization to respond to and resolve customer issues in a timely proactive manner; Focus the company on sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Champion Crane Aerospace & Electronics vision and initiatives to customers and solicit their feedback and support

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Experience : 5+ years of relevant experience in business management, technical sales / marketing, tactical/strategic partnering in the U.S. defense market space.

  • Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to form and maintain good relationships with Customer Representatives at all levels; Ability to form and maintain good internal customer relationships; Successful history in identifying, targeting, negotiating and winning profitable business; Analytical skills and disciplines in support of market analysis, business planning, customer / competitor analysis, cost buildups and ROI models; Demonstrated proficiency in relationship management and conflict resolution; Ability to develop and present proposals to the customer. Ability to communicate effectively across different mediums and diverse audiences.

  • Education/Certification:BA or BS or Technical degree or equivalent

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Defense Aerospace market with a technical background. Military experience preferred.

  • Requires regular travel (up to 50%) to meet with customers, visit Crane Aerospace & Electronics’ business sites, attend conferences, seminars and trade shows

Compensation Range: $125,700K - $171,600K
