Job Summary:

The Continuous Improvement Director (TheGroup A&ECrane Business SystemDirector)facilitatesthe establishment of Operations Excellence principles throughout the organization, including coaching and mentoring, to ensuretimelycompletion of quality and/or cost focused projects.In conjunction with theSeniorVice President of Operations, A&E Site Leaders and CBS Facilitatorsacross the organization,the Group A&E CBS Manageridentifiesthe key breakthrough challenges which will accelerate the execution of operational efficiency initiatives and the implementation of Future Factory Visions.TheGroup A&ECBS Manager applies operational improvement tools toidentifykey problem drivers/root causes and achieve business process improvementtoattaingoals aligned with strategic Deployment Plan.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, manage,facilitate, and drive the application of the Crane Business System (CBS) and Operational Excellence throughout the businessincluding acquisitions, and be a relentless advocate of a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Compile and recommend to theSVP Operations a prioritised list of projects, improvement events and actions which will address and overcome the key breakthrough challenges for the business.Developand initiateaction plans to successfully implement this list.

  • Lead the CBS Managers in developing the kaizen roadmaps and deploying annual CBS/OpExprograms that will fully support the business strategies and winning businessmodelsand which will be successful in meeting those key breakthrough challenges.

  • As directed by theSVPOperations, focus on resolving critical business issues byidentifyingand developing teams and action plans and by motivating,training,and empoweringassociates to continuously improve and grow the business.

  • Drive the application of the Crane Business System throughout theA&E sitesbyactively leading,facilitatingand participating in kaizen events to achieve strategic business targets. Minimum of 2 per month

  • Foster and continuously advocate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

  • KPI’s: Mentornewer CBS managers / analystsand other functional leaderson the use of KPI boards;Identifygaps and mentor others to apply problem solvingmethodologytoidentifyRCCA

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor ormanagement

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience:7+years in a direct operations role withdemonstratedsuccess indriving continuous improvement tools through the businesswith multiple locations

  • Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental change management concepts and ability tolead and support groups throughchange

  • Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix environment;Strong team formation and leadership skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include presentation skills and facilitation of groups toward deliverables;Advanced knowledgein the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project Management Tools; Ability to link customerneeds and business processes; Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams toward process improvement as measured by businessimpact

  • Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in relevantfield

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Lean Certification or Six Sigma Green/Black beltexperience

Top Benefits:

Salary range: $192,500 to $251,600 Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
