Disney Entertainment Executive Assistant, Unscripted Content (Walt Disney Television) in Burbank, California

Disney Entertainment Television is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Vice President of Unscripted Content, who oversees the Hulu Originals unscripted slate. As an Executive Assistant, you will materially impact the productivity and efficiency of the team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual capable of consistently achieving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. The candidate should be a creative thinker capable of consistently achieving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, possess an ability to maintain confidentiality and manage high level relationships with sensitivity, and work independently.

The Executive Assistant provides support to the Vice President and proactively manages and organizes heavy calendar scheduling, phone lines and book travel arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manages smooth operations of the executive’s calendar and office, being mindful of deadlines and priorities.

  • Organizes heavy calendar scheduling, facilitates heavy email and phone correspondence; submits expense reports, purchasing requests for supplies; books travel arrangements

  • Prepare general creative feedback/notes on slate projects.

  • Organize contact lists of writers, producers, creative executives, and any related correspondence as needed.

  • Compose correspondence as needed; write synopsis and loglines of episodes for weekly, widely distributed report.

  • Read and watch material and provide feedback as necessary.

  • Provide additional support to other executives and across Unscripted teams as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience at an agency, production company, studio, or network in an administrative capacity.

  • Passion for a career in unscripted TV programming.

  • Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Manage smooth operations of the executives’ calendars and offices, being mindful of deadlines and priorities.

  • General understanding of the television development process and cycles

  • Knowledge of agencies and networks.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to work overtime with short notice.

  • Must work well under pressure.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Superior attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Must have a passion for television and the desire for a career in TV.

  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Google Drive.

  • Proficiency in cloud-based file management, i.e. Dropbox, Airtable.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,400 to $70,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
