This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking an EMC Test Engineer III in Burbank, CA.

As a Test Engineer III, you will perform major qualification engineering activities, interact with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems and components, as well as identify functional problems, troubleshoot and suggest resolutions. You will also analyze test cases and provides regular progress reports.

This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.

Essential Functions:

· Collaborate with customers and engineers to establish/clarify test, qualification, verification and validation requirements.

· Write test plans, procedures and reports for testing based on standards suchas MIL-810, MIL-704, and DO-160.

· Participate in the estimation of costs and schedules to develop or upgrade test platforms.

· Perform detailed calculations to establish test equipment specifications and design margins.

· Work independently under minimal supervision and guidance to perform tasks of substantial complexity and to be capable of leading and coordinating the efforts of junior engineers.

· Design, fabrication, standardization and documentation of EMC Test Fixtures.

Minimum Qualifications:

· MinimumBS degree in Electrical Engineeringor other related Science/Engineering field, or equivalent work experience.

· Minimum of 7 years working experience with developing and testing electronic assemblies, preferably in an engineering environment.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Familiar with desktop computer applications such as Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, Outlook e-mail, and Internet Explorer applications.

· Ability to logically solve problems, organize materials, and keep projects moving in an orderly and structured fashion.

· Ability to work well with others in the areas of teamwork and communication.

· Expert in troubleshooting related to failures during EMC testing of electronic HW design and at system test level.

· Expert with planning, executing, and reporting onEMI testing in accordance with MIL-STD-461/462 and RTCA/DO-160 test standards.

· Familiar with planning, executing, and reporting on environmental testing (e.g. altitude, humidity, temperature, vibration, etc.) testing in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and RTCA/DO-160 test standards.

· Familiar with planning, executing, and reporting on electrical power quality testing in accordancewith MIL-STD-704 and RTCA/DO-160 test standards.

· Familiar with planning, executing, and reporting on lighting inducted transient testing in accordance withMIL-STD-464, RTCA/DO-160, and SAE ARP5412 test standards

Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working for an aerospace or equivalent company with regard to the rigor of software creation and hardware design with emphasis on safety.

Salary range: $112,611 to $128,918. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
