Job Description

The Director of Content plays a leading role in crafting strategy, planning and activating of world-class content and influencer programs across multiple lines of Disney business. Reporting into the VP, Disney Content Lead, this role will be responsible and accountable for strategic content & creator strategy, marketplace development, and all relevant aspects of program implementation for their assigned line(s) of business.

  • Drive holistic integrated marketing development for first-to-market programs

  • Partner with core Strategy and Digital Investment teams to articulate strategic role of custom content, experiential and influencer, to deliver against KPIs

  • Deliver data-led tactical content strategies & partner consideration sets to inform go-to-market approach

  • Quarterback integrated programs across clients, IAT agency partners, and media entities

  • Coordinate and drive collaboration between client creative teams, media partners, influencers and influencer agencies to deliver innovative and compelling programs

  • Oversee bespoke media partner proposal development, refinement, and evaluation process with cross-functional team

  • Compare and analyze value levers across consideration set to identify strongest marketplace partnership for recommendation

  • Execute & measure with excellence

  • Oversee team and actively participate in development and implementation of custom campaigns activations, and initiatives

  • Collaborate with key teams create and coordinate content strategies that work cohesively across different channels

  • Lead influencer and content campaign management, including but not limited to strategic recommendations, contracting, content development management, quality assurance, FTC compliance and governance, performance monitoring, and reporting

  • Work in tandem with internal client creative teams to adhere to and continually refine internal collaboration and review process, training team on all aspects of process

  • Conduct outreach to new and existing partners

  • Lead business affairs compliance

  • Maintain a clear understanding of and implementation needed to deliver client legal requirements for all content and influencer programs

  • Primary liaison with Publicis BA, clients, and media partners vendors to draft and manage all related content partnership SOWs and agreements

  • Train and support team in understanding of and adherence to legal and business affairs requirements

  • Lead team in and take responsibility for reviewing custom content for Disney Experiences, checking for overall compliance based on guidelines

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years in media agency, influencer, content, or related marketing field

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) plus superior organization skills

  • Media experience with content publishers, influencer agencies and/or IP holders

  • Client service-minded,including the ability to strategically think from a client’s perspective, deliberate conceptually, and translate concepts into actionable plans to drive clients’ businesses forward

  • Forward-thinking: comfortable in an ambiguous environment, learning new marketplace offerings, and excited about inventing new ways of working

  • Highly collaborative team player capable of working across clients, partners, and internal teams

  • Leads by example, takes responsibility and accountability for the team, and makes every effort to assist the team in growing and developing knowledge and skill set

  • Detail-oriented: able to prioritize and juggle many projects and deliverables simultaneously

  • Analytical: ability to interpret key data points to make sound performance recommendations

  • Familiarity with:

  • Social platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Snapchat)

  • Media Publishers (networks, lifestyle publishers, news publishers, etc.)

  • Analytical tools (Facebook Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)

  • Social Ad tools (FB Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads)

  • Social Management & Listening Tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Social Bakers)

  • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $ 121,000 - $160,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
