Our aviation team in the Middle East is experiencing exciting growth and we have a need for a Senior Airfield Civil 3-D Technician to support regionally in the delivery of airfield and airport infrastructure related design projects.

You will be required to lead modelling and draughting teams to meet project milestones and quality of deliverables, and you will be seen as an expert in Civil 3D modellings and the application of Digital delivery.

Experience is required to include:

  • Civil 3-D Design modeling of large infrastructure aviation projects, i.e. Airfield Grading.

  • Proficiency with Autodesk design software and BIM processes

  • Managing production of Engineering design deliverables

  • Coordination with other disciplines such as drainage, AGL, structures and pavement

  • Civil 3D implementation, usage, and adoption in a multiuser environment/CDE

  • Keeping track of changes and ensuring that change management is maintained

  • Creating quality control checks for models and final drawing deliverables

Proficiency in the following:

  • Autodesk AutoCAD

  • Autodesk Civil 3D

  • Civil 3D Subassembly composer

  • Autodesk BIM 360

  • Interoperability skills i.e. Interface with other platforms.

  • Georeferencing

Added advantages would be:

  • Experience in Design of Airfield Geometry (horizontal & vertical design)

  • Working with contractors delivering design and build detailed design.

Experience in several of the following:

  • Implementation and maintenance of digital delivery standards.

  • Creating and updating QA/QC check templates.

  • defining BIM information workflows.

  • Engaging with Engineering, Modelling, Design and CAD teams to ensure process and procedure compliance.

  • Coordinate with client teams to ensure C3D processes align for sharing of model information.

  • Working with offshore Modelling and CAD resources.

  • Produce Execution Plans for 3D modelling.

  • Working with Common Data Environments (CDE).

  • Upskilling of staff with training sessions and creation of online guide documents.

Experience in the following:

  • Dynamo

  • Infraworks

  • Navisworks

  • Revizto

  • Batch scripting

  • Lisp programming

  • Design automation

Here’s what you’ll need :

As a successful candidate you will have a diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and you will have proven experience as a technical professional on projects. You will also possess: -

  • At least 8 years’ experience with airfield engineering projects

  • Experience working on large aviation (or similar) projects preferred.

  • Must demonstrate experience with airfield engineering and terminal interface issues.

  • Knowledge of airfield runways, taxiways and apron design and planning aspects

  • Experience working in, and leading multi-disciplinary teams required.
