Description
Position Summary:
Person in this position provides services to clients in the Domestic Violence Shelter
Essential Job Functions:
Complete documentation of services on provided forms in a timely manner.
Provides client supervision in daily activities and general program operations.
Provides crisis counseling and support to victims and children.
Presents groups and activities designed to support children who have witnessed domestic violence.
Conduct and coordinate childrens groups and activities.
Oversees overall facility maintenance and meal preparation.
All Child and Adult Food Care Program (CACFP) duties as required.
CACFP Duties to include: Meal count & Menus
Daily point of service recordkeeping including meal count worksheets, menus, infant feeding records & food temperature log.
Provides input into the clients treatment needs and disposition.
Assists other WestCare staff as needed in a collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Certifications/Licenses:
Possess or able to obtain Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card
Able to pass Arizona Central Registry background check
As mandated by Presidential Order all employees of WestCare Foundation, Inc. and all affiliates of WestCare Foundation, Inc. will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective 11/1/2021. Employees that have requested a Medical or Religious Exemption, which has been approved by Human Resources will be required to test for the virus weekly.
During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates of bachelors degree preferred
Experience and Competencies:
Minimum of 1 year experience working within a social service setting
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a manner that is pleasant and professional.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion.
Ability to operate a computer and complete documents in Microsoft Word program formats or the ability to learn.
Ability to respond as needed to crisis situations in an efficient manner.
Ability to complete work tasks within scheduled work hours.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to seek out new work projects and contribute ideas and efforts to the constant improvement of WestCare services.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily in a residential setting
Normal work hours are from a.m. to p.m. Regular attendance is required. Working overtime required and essential to perform job duties at times.
