Aerotek Solar Electrician in Buffalo, New York

Job Title: Solar Electrician | Prevailing Wage Projects

Job Description

We are looking for experienced electricians local to Buffalo, NY to join our team at a local, family-owned electrical contractor specializing in the solar industry that is known for its stability and employee-first culture. The company works on many prevailing wage projects as well. Electricians will be working on community-size solar farms, electric vehicle charging stations, and residential solar installations across New York State. Candidates will work Monday through Friday and must be open to travelling throughout the week, with all transportation and housing covered by the client.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and other components at client job sites.

  • Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and configuration of solar panels.

  • Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and standards.

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to ensure successful project completion.

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work, within the commercial or solar industry.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 certification.

  • Valid driver license and reliable transportation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $83000.00/yr.
