Olivia Quinlan from Robert Half is hiring for a Software Engineer in Buffalo, NY. This position plays a crucial role, where you will be involved in the design, development, and implementation of new and existing applications. This role will allow you to make significant contributions to the digital transformation of our business processes using a mix of internally developed and vendor solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the establishment of coding and testing best practices and standards for software development

• Collaborate closely with business teams to design and implement new and enhanced applications

• Identify end-user requirements and specifications

• Carry out feasibility studies for upgraded software

• Develop, test, and deploy modern software applications and new features

• Monitor user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products

• Work in tandem with other Engineers on best practices, architecture decisions, and design decisions

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Software Engineering within the Financial Services industry

• Proficiency in Angular, React.js, JavaScript, CSS, Typescript, Node.js, SQL Programming, SQL, MySQL PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL

• Demonstrable experience in Application Development and Coding

• Experience in Outreach Events

• Strong knowledge of Programming Languages

• Prior experience with SQL Programming and database management systems such as MySQL PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL

• Proven track record in Application Development

• Demonstrable coding skills and understanding of efficient coding techniques

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time appropriately

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be advantageous.
