Robert Half Purchasing Administrator in Buffalo, New York

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator in Buffalo, New York. In this role, you will be a key part of our team, responsible for managing and updating purchase orders, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records in our ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and update purchase orders in the ERP system (Sage)

• Maintain and update reports with new information on a regular basis

• Liaise with suppliers to confirm or change orders as needed

• Collaborate with transportation companies and platers to ensure smooth operations

• Manage and resolve any issues or inquiries from customers efficiently

• Monitor and manage customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Support the purchasing department by ensuring all data entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall function of the purchasing department. Requirements • Candidate must possess proficiency in Sage Software

• Must have experience supporting purchasing processes

• Ability to generate and manage Purchase Orders efficiently

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Previous experience in a Purchasing Administrator role is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of supply chain procedures is advantageous
