Job Description:

This position has direct responsibility for protection of persons and property, prevention and detection of crime and the general maintenance of peace and order. Assist patients, visitors and staff as needed. Pursuant to New York State Criminal Procedural Law Section 2.10 designated members of the security force employed by Kaleida Health are legally empowered Peace Officers. These Officers will have jurisdiction on all property owned by Kaleida Health within and directly adjacent to the hospital buildings on the medical campus located between East North Street, Goodell Street, Main Street and Michigan Avenue in the City of Buffalo, County of Erie.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

HS - High School Diploma or GED required. AA - Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related area or its equivalency of a minimum of 60 semester hours with an emphasis in Criminal Justice/Criminology preferred. Prior Security Experience preferred. NYS Drivers License Required upon hire. Peace Officer Upon Hire Regulatory Required.CPR Upon Hire Regulatory Required. NYS Pistol Permit Upon Hire Regulatory Required. NYS Crs in Firearms Deadly Frc Upon Hire Regulatory Required.

Salary Range:

$22.31-$26.97 per hour Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
