Join us in shaping the future of our esteemed institution while honing your project management skills and contributing to the dynamic growth of our University Facilities.Responsibilities•Project Coordination and Communication: Coordinate and communicate across various projects, including in-house design/build renovation work, critical maintenance projects, and capital-funded design/bid/build work.•Interpersonal Skills and Team Leadership: Utilize advanced interpersonal skills to advise clients, align expertise with needs, partner with outside agencies, contribute to design, and lead a dynamic project team.•Budget and Schedule Tracking: Write, maintain, collaborate, and share ongoing tracking of project budgets and schedules using Maximo software.•Identify issues and propose mitigating tactics to maintain project momentum.•Procurement and Contract Management: Work closely with University Procurement to process bids, award contracts, estimate costs, order materials and services, administer submittals, manage payments, and process changes to the project as needed.•Collaboration with Senior Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize project work and forecast appropriate staffing levels and project funding.•Actively contribute to the analysis of past practices for continuous improvement recommendations.•Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a subject matter expert to University Facilities peers and various stakeholders, including departmental leadership, researchers, faculty, athletes, students, the State University Construction Fund, SUNY leadership, and local municipalities.•Client Education: Interact with clients to orient them to the project process, define scope boundaries, resolve design considerations, and help negotiate any issues.•Archiving: Provide record drawings and other final construction documents as required. Collaborate in establishing a standard filing system for all in-house rehabilitation and repair projects.•Design Reviews: Engage with the design team during the design process to provide preliminary comments, scheduling, constructability reviews, cost estimates, or general input. Coordinate and communicate project designs and construction activities with cross-functional stakeholder groups.•Project Coordination: Serve as the single point of contact for all project-related performance regarding schedule, budget, quality, and communications. Supervise staff, coordinate construction efforts, procure necessary permits, and ensure seamless project transitions.•Documentation Management: Receive, review, approve, and manage project submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and other project documentation. Requirements•Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 2 years of experience in project management.•Advanced oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.•Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of staff at all levels of an organization.Preferred Requirements•Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 5 years of experience in planning, design, and construction.•Demonstration of ability to write and manage project schedules from inception to completion preferred.•Experience in higher education renovation and construction projects, including laboratory and/or SUCF capital improvement projects.•New York State registration in architecture or engineering ideal. Certification as PMP, NYCCEO, and/or LEED or equivalent considered.Salary Range•$76-86kJK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
