Overview:

As an Infrastructure Team Lead with a background in telecommunication carriers, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of infrastructure operations. This includes managing circuits, contracts, and inventory, leading a team of professionals, and utilizing tools for budgeting and data analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of infrastructure operations within a telecommunications carrier environment.

• Manage circuits and contracts, including understanding, negotiating, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

• Lead a team of infrastructure professionals, including conducting talent reviews, talent calibrations, and overseeing the hiring process.

• Utilize Excel, PowerBI, and other relevant tools for budgeting, reporting on network hardware, and analyzing data to make informed decisions.

• Manage the warehouse of equipment and oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supply levels and efficient use of resources.

• Conduct regular meetings, including 1:1 sessions with team members, project meetings, and liaising with other groups to align on project goals and progress.

• Lead an Agile team, guiding them through the transformation journey and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Education and Experience Required:

• A combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ engineering and/or architecture experience and 3 years leadership experience

• Extensive experience in infrastructure operations within the telecommunications industry, with a strong understanding of circuits, contracts, and budgeting.

• Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and other relevant software tools for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience working in an Agile environment and driving teams through transformational changes.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $110,635.01 - $184,391.68 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
