Crib Attendant A / Receiver (Train on 1st, Work on 2nd) Pay Rate: $24.75/hour--$26.83/hour.

Crib Attendant A performs with minimum supervision the following:

Assist and instruct employees in lower classification. Assist in loading and unloading trucks. Sign for receipt of goods. Deliver goods to proper area and papers connected with same to receiving desk.

Move rough and finished material from any area or department to proper storage area (such as stock room, outside storage area and racks throughout the shop). Return paper work connected with same to Material Control Office.

From a production schedule and / or supervisor’s instruction, gather parts (for contract or shop order) and deliver to proper department. Mark B/M or shop order copy that material has been issued out and turn in to Material Control office, requisitions connected with same – indication quantity issued, date and initial.

Gather and package spare parts orders and return goods for shipping per instruction.

Operate all material handling equipment such as crane (excluding cab), forklift and carts.

Checks tools in and out of stock room when this becomes stock room function.

Maintain storage area clean and in orderly fashion.

Receive all incoming materials using the purchase order requirements and drawings, where necessary, to assure compliance and acceptance:

Upon receipt of materials, they are to be inspected and examined by the Crib A for damage in shipment, verification of quantity as specified on shipper’s forwarding documents and shortages that may result. Materials are to be marked with Contract No./P.O. No., or any other pertinent data, prior to being released for production.

The materials are to be examined for surface defects and compliance with the information required on purchase orders and/or drawings. Mill test reports are to be identified and checked against materials received.

Materials received and released are to be marked, accepted and segregated in material storage areas so designated.

Purchase order receivers are to indicate date of receipt, C & P receipts and data report receipts, when received.

If materials are rejected for non-compliance, they are to be tagged with a reject Hold tag, and Quality Control is to be notified to issue a Rejection Report immediately.

The Crib Attendant A/ Receiver must be capable of using the following tools to perform the Receiving/Inspection function.

Hand measuring tools: rule, thickness calipers, micrometer. Marking devices: chalk, paint sticks, paint spray can, labels, tags.
