The Corporate FP&A Finance Manager provides key business and financial leadership to support the growth and success of the Unifrax organization. This role develops and maintains a wide range of financial models, analysis, measurements, and reports in order to ensure financial clarity and informed decision-making. The position will lead the financial preparation of annual operating plans, and analyze performance, trends, and forecasts against these plans and against previous forecasts on an ongoing basis. This person partners with cross-functional leaders to understand performance and KPI’s as they relate to the business at a corporate level.

This position requires strong financial and analytical skills, a thorough understanding of financial statements, experience with standard measurement tools in a manufacturing-oriented environment, the ability to consolidate and summarize financial data, simplify complexity, and proactively identify relevant issues, trends, and opportunities. This position also requires the ability to clearly communicate results to non-financial people, and must be able to manage multiple business partners, prioritize requests, navigate multiple data sources, and multi-task effectively.

Reports to the Director, Corporate Finance


  • Reporting – Consolidate and analyze financial results for management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis. Analyze results and identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks. Track and measure results against budgets, previous forecasts, historical performance, and key financial metrics. Consolidate and review KPI reports and other business dashboards to ensure alignment with financial results.

  • Presentations - Help develop management reports and key presentations for internal business leaders, Board of Directors meetings, investors, and external rating agencies. Effectively translate large amounts of financial data into clear and meaningful summaries.

  • Financial Modeling - Develop and maintain financial models to drive accurate forecasting across the corporate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements on a short-term and long-term basis. Support capital investment analysis, M&A due diligence, and business scenario modeling activities.

  • Business Analysis - Perform detailed analysis on various items, including sales forecasts / trends, volume & mix impact, product-line profitability, COGS, SG&A costs, working capital, liquidity, and functional spending. Ensure objective financial analysis is provided to support decision making in all cases.

  • Project Support - Support M&A, capex, new product introduction, insurance, and other strategic projects.

  • Management Planning – Lead budget and strategic forecasting activities. Ensure an integrated common approach is aligned with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering functions as appropriate. Work with leadership to understand risks and opportunities and suggest approaches to mitigate.

  • Business Intelligence Systems – Work with the IT and finance teams to improve business intelligence and reporting tools to drive growth, communicate results, measure performance, and improve reporting efficiency.

  • Functional Spend – Partner with organizations to understand spend vs. budget and prior year and support goal setting and achievement.


  • A B.S. Degree in Business (Finance/Accounting/Other) is required. MBA and experience in a manufacturing organization is a plus.

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis roles.

  • Strong analytical skills combined with understanding of accounting principles and metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to model and analyze large amounts of data, identify trends, project future performance and communicate complexity in simple ways.

  • Track record of success in job performance.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills needed to effectively engage the senior leadership organization.

  • Manage the complexity of working across global functions with multiple stakeholders.
