New Era Cap Co., Inc. Associate, Marketing (Temporary) in Buffalo, New York

The Associate, Marketing (Temporary) is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and support of the New Era marketing initiatives including the workflow of all marketing campaigns and projects across both agency partners and internal Creative Services. This position is accountable to the overall success of the licensed business to support its key objectives including creative campaigns, special events and league relationship functions. We are seeking a detailed and process-oriented individual who thrives in a deadline-driven environment. A successful Associate will have exceptional organizational skills and a problem-solving mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage work-through of all marketing projects and keep key constituents aware of deadlines, opportunities and feedback
  • Coordinate deliverables, organize feedback and manage correspondence to and from other internal groups (Creative Services, Retail Marketing and Sports Marketing teams) and external agencies when projects require
  • Develop creative project briefs and manage process timeline for all projects; consulting all stakeholders to assess needs and offerings
  • Process invoices, input purchase requisitions, follow-up on payments and legal processes for all central marketing spend
  • Assist in preparing presentations for internal and external meetings including creative offering documents
  • Maintain multi-league calendars of both product cycles and league reporting deadlines
  • Obtain necessary internal & external approvals and deadline extensions when necessary
  • Manage the coordination of product sample sets for marketing photography
  • Assist in the planning and preparation for all special events related to the multi-league sports calendar
  • Manage athlete, agent and key contact directory for efficient communication and talent sourcing
  • Submit photo requests for campaign creative needs for on-field programs
  • Assisting the creative development of league campaigns including Image sourcing and ideating for hyper-local event creative needs
  • Ordering and managing of samples for events and athlete/influencer seeding
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Keep all sensitive information confidential

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate industry knowledge in project management, marketing design principals and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint to create engaging presentations and visual aids for internal and external stakeholders
  • Accuracy and deep attention to detail; highly organized
  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and multitask
  • Meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment across organizational structures.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered
  • Zero (0) to One (1) years of marketing experience in sports or apparel required
  • Creative agency experience preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel required

The salary range for this posted position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
