This Individual will be responsible for managing the month end close process, analyzing and verifying financial information, perform various account reconciliations and financial analytics on site performance.

Reports to the Plant Controller and requires interaction with other members of the accounting team as well as the plant operations teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead month end close process including preparation/approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports

  • Analyze transactions throughout the month to verify accuracy

  • Assist the WNY Plant Controller with submission of timely and accurate financial data to provide management

  • Prepare Internal Quarterly Financial Reporting Package

  • Assist WNY Plant Controller with annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasting

  • Act as a business partner to other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions

  • Work with internal and external audit responding to requests and providing support

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in the plant processes and assist in executing

  • Prepare and submit quarterly/annual ECIDA Reports

  • Complete monthly and annual Census Reports as required

  • Work with plant operations and WNY Plant Controller to update standard costs annually

  • Support analytics of site performance, long term financial planning and capital expenditures

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, manufacturing and/or public accounting experience preferred

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint

Experience with ERP and Financial systems (Onestream, AS400 and/or Masterpiece preferred)

Salary Range: $79,074-131,790
