The Opportunity at Hand
The role of the Accounting Intern is an integral member of the Accounting and Reporting Team adding value through assisting with cash reconciliations and daily cash management, ecommerce reconciliations and reporting and other month-end close or audit tasks as assigned.
Projects & Tasks
Analyze cash accounts and assist with daily cash management
Collaborate with Treasury team and Kyriba software for daily cash management
Support ecommerce reconciliation and reporting initiatives
Participate in month end close tasks
Assist with compiling requests for quarterly reviews and interim audits
Keep all sensitive matters confidential
Other projects as assigned
What you will need to make an impact
Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems as needed
Meticulous attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email and in person
Strong public speaking, group presentation, interpersonal and persuasion skills required
Ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances by being flexible and execute accordingly
Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions
Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive person who manages change with urgency and persistence
SAP or Sage Fixed Assets experience a plus but not required
Education and Experience
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in accounting or a related field
Future CPA aspirations are a plus

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
