Are you ready to join Leica Microsystems? We are hiring a Senior Bid and Contract Specialist! The Senior Bid & Contract Specialist is responsible for executing all phases of Gov and Commercial Contracts processes, negotiating Purchase Order T&Cs and Master Agreement and submitting Bids/Tenders for US and Canada.

To be successful, the Senior Contract Specialist must exhibit leadership skills to promote team confidence and increase high execution of legal and financial compliance by planning, developing and implementing tools, processes and training materials.


  • Administer and Manage GPO, GSA/VA, and other commercial contracts

  • Negotiate Contracts, Master Agreements, Bids and PO T&Cs to ensure financial and legal compliance

  • Execute product/pricing analysis to ensure accuracy

  • Provide risk assessment through review and interpretation of legal documentation related to Leica contracts

  • Train/develop to enhance team confidence and ensure premier level execution of standard work

  • Keep current with business trends and best practices and apprise team

  • Improve existing processes and operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization’s financial and business objectives using action plans and business tools.

  • Manage and Submit Bid RFPs, NOIs, and Sole Source Requests with timely responses and incorporating input from relevant associates

  • Review agreements or proposed agreements for conformity to company Terms and Conditions and Revenue Recognition Guidelines

  • Ability to act as liaison between customers, sales, finance, and legal functions to ensure exceptional customer service

  • Utilize tools and present metrics to understand focus areas of continuous process improvement and to meet KPI targets

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 3+ Contract Management experience, preferred

  • 3+ yrs Specific knowledge of GPO and GSA/VA contracts, preferred

  • Knowledge of T&C business guidelines

  • Competency in ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and SFDC, preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    Desired qualifications express expectations for ideal/fully proficient candidates; equivalent experience will also be considered .
