Chevron Corporation Software Engineer in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires is accepting applications for the position of Software Engineer. Successful candidates will join the IT Organization which is part of a multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1300 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe.

This role is involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design and planning to development, deployment, and support, providing innovative and comprehensive solutions.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Hands-on coding to deliver complex and innovative software solutions, using software engineering and Devops best practices

  • Deliver results in collaboration with other software engineers and technical teams. Constructively and positively influence own and other teams/organizations direction, following agile principles

  • Collaborate closely with business partners to understand requirements and build innovative applications that align with and support the company’s strategic objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience developing and supporting solutions using Microsoft technologies (.Net, Power Platform, Microsoft Azure)

  • Proficient communication and facilitation skills with solid ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience

  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to engage difficulties with persistence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with agile methodologies

  • Working experience with SPA frameworks like React, Angular, etc.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as ADO or Jenkins

  • Familiarity with integration technologies and patterns (API, Messaging, Data Integration)
