GE Vernova Supply Chain Development - Finance Intern in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

What impact you'll make?

As an intern, you will be part of the Gas Power SCD (Supply Chain Development) Finance team, supporting the NPI (New Product Industrialization) team’s activities, reporting to the SCD NPI Finance manager. You will be involved in the forecasting and reporting cycles regarding CAPEX (Capital Expenditures), OPEX (Operating Expenditures), depreciation & driving visibility on their asset reporting & clarity on their CAPEX/OPEX forecast dashboard. Through this role, you will have visibility on strategically important initiatives required to help grow the Supply Chain of Gas Power.

This internship role requires a proactive and fast learning approach with analytical mindset & interest to create visibility through various reporting mechanism. Curiosity and flexibility to cover complex processes are critical skills. You will work closely with the NPI Finance and interact with the NPI operational stakeholder. You will be encouraged to act autonomously on your own workstream and will need the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders is a must.

Job Description

What you’ll do :

  • Perform monthly update of actuals & estimate on CAPEX/OPEX into Smartsheet & GEARS tools to support reporting activities

  • Perform monthly update of actuals for the FPC (Fixed Production Cost) using the financial ledger reporting tools to support forecasting activities

  • Perform analysis on the NPI FAR (Fixed Asset Register) to ensure correct ownership of assets

  • Build reporting capability & perform monthly reconciliation of depreciation cost against the NPI FAR (Fixed Asset Register) to ensure clarity in NPI ledger

  • Build reporting capability & perform headcount analysis to ensure correct costing flow of NPI

  • Build capability & perform periodical PO (purchase order) analysis to ensure actual costs are aligned with PO receipt timing

  • Creating documentation on processes

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Ongoing studies (Finance/Accounting specialisation preferred) or equivalent knowledge or experience

  • Basic financial knowledge (Balance sheet/Income statement/Cash flow)

  • Active student enrolment (preferably for more than one year)

  • 30+ hours per week working availability

  • Fluency in English (additional Hungarian knowledge preferred)

  • Strong user level MS office skills

  • Flexibility

  • Ability to learn and adapt

  • Analytical thinking

  • Good communication skill and team player attitude

  • Ability to work in Hungary: Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary
