Job Description Summary

The GE Healthcare AV System team is looking for a Software Engineer trainee to be part of our exciting journey to develop, automate our daily basis repetitive tasks and help collecting and structuring information for product/cyber security purpose. As a trainee in our growing team, you would help to support different teams and develop, deploy, delivery necessary task.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain tools, solutions which support teams

• Automate repetitive tasks

• Create and maintain guidelines, documentations which support our teams

• Collecting and structuring information for product and cyber security purpose

• Follow guidance of senior team members

• Maintain or monitor our toolchain

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a university or college, studying engineering or physics

• Availability for working min. 20 hours during a working week

• Experience in software programming (e.g. python, go, java)

• Familiar with computer science basics

• Good knowledge of Linux

• Ability to work autonomously

• Team player, good collaboration, ability to adapt solutions to the team's needs

• Fluent communication in English and preferably also in Hungarian

Characteristics:

• Experience with SW engineering tools (e.g. version control)

• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. bash, Python)

• Adapts quickly to the tools that are used within our organization or are being introduced to the teams

• Passionate about innovation and new software development technologies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Contributes to creative solutions

• Proactively identifies, facilitates and eliminates obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
