BlackRock’s Legal team works with business teams to develop investment management products and business solutions that comply with the numerous legal and regulatory requirements to which BlackRock is subject and to deploy capital managed on behalf of clients. The legal transactions team sits within the wider BlackRock legal team and is responsible for advising investments teams on all transactions across debt, infrastructure and equity.

The Role

We are searching for an experienced legal operations professional to be based in Budapest. The core functions of the Legal Operations team include knowledge and information sharing, building and maintaining systems, project management, data analytics, and managing legal team vendors. This position will report directly into the Global Head of Legal Operations and will work alongside another legal operations professional.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working with the Head of Legal Operations to oversee and manage the America’s Legal department’s annual strategic plan and manage and facilitate plan development, communication, reporting and ongoing measurement against objectives.

  • In partnership with Accounts Payable help manage and oversee all outside counsel billing

  • Reconciling outside counsel bills with agreed-upon rates, discounts and other agreed upon terms

  • Oversee Law Firm Onboarding

  • Overseeing and providing project management support for Legal projects and initiatives

  • Developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Professional background will include previous, relevant experience between 3-5 years

  • Ability to oversee and effectively engage with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with others and manage multiple time sensitive matters in a demanding, fast-paced and fluid environment.

  • Motivated team player with ability to work independently

  • Ability to take initiative to anticipate, identify and analyze issues and generate potential solutions

  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, written, and oral communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
