About the Function

The Group Financial Planning and Analysis Team supports development of Diageo’s multi-year strategic plan and leads the annual financial planning process. It leads holistic performance management by proactively delivering quality insights and analysis that support decisions to enable delivery of Diageo’s annual targets (Financial, Market Share and ESG) and external commitments.

The role reports to the Group FP&A Senior Manager and is based in Budapest as part of the Global Strategic Finance and Performance Management team

About the Role

Top Accountabilities

  • External Cash benchmarking to identify cash improvement opportunities. Engage with a wide range of stakeholders procurement, OTC, markets, Supply, etc) to set goals for cash improvement

  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholder groups to develop a Free Cash Flow 3-year strategic plan that achieves delivery of Diageo’s external commitments and progress on strategic priorities

  • Proactively provide high quality insights on drivers of Diageo’s cash performance to Diageo’s Exec and Board, with recommendations on actions /interventions needed to deliver against annual targets

  • Establish and lead a streamlined and efficient annual Cash planning and target setting process

  • Cash forecasting training and other interventions needed to improve markets/supply cash forecasting accuracy

  • Partner closely with Reward to design measurable, fair and achievable incentive plans and set targets that support delivering Diageo’s strategic plan. Support getting Diageo Remuneration Committee and IRC alignment on incentive design and targets

  • Update Diageo Remuneration Committee and IRC on progress versus incentive targets and make proposal in partnership with Reward team on vesting and evaluation of achievement vs targets

About You

  • Qualified accountant – at least 7-10 years PQE.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills

  • Experienced at communicating and influencing at all levels across the organisation including senior leadership.

  • Some commercial background would be an advantage, ideally within FMCG environment.

  • Excellent business English knowledge

  • Good understanding of financial/management reporting

  • PC skills / System knowledge: MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and group reporting and consolidation tool (i.e. BFC)

  • Experience with Cash forecasting/management is desirable
