<p>Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer<br>Reports to: Supervisor<br>Career Band: 5<br>Group / Division: Global Business Services</p><p>Position Summary:</p><p>The BI developer role will be part of the Performance and Productivity team supporting the reporting needs of various terms throughout GBS Shared Services including OTC, RTR and PTP. <br>This is a global role working across our Shared Services Centers in Costa Rica, Hungary and Scotland.<br>This role will work along with stakeholders and colleagues to deliver tools, metrics and dashboards. <br>The objective would be to help prepare Thermo Fisher Scientific to effectively &amp; efficiently scale up to the company’s 2030 vision of becoming a $50B revenue organization</p><p>Key Responsibilities:<br> Build partnerships with key stakeholders and provide front line support for business requests from various divisions/groups<br> Working independently, or with functional analysts, to create reports, data sets and mechanisms to provide visibility to business data<br> Be responsible for the diagnosis and support of Power BI reporting solutions, including investigation of data issues, data validation, scalability, balancing and row level security implementation<br> Create and deliver standards on defining, crafting, and documenting reference PBI architecture<br> Identify and provide input to new technology opportunities, including regular Microsoft PBI releases, that will have a positive impact on improving the BI visualization portfolio<br> </p><p>Education<br>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)<br>More than 5+ years’ experience in a BI developer role with a strong understanding of technical, business, and operational process requirements.</p><p><br>Experience:<br>5-7+ years of working experience in delivering Power BI solutions<br>Accomplished in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements with a lens for translating data into factual visuals and reports enabling data driven decisions<br>Experience building Cloud BI solutions using AWS as data lake backend sources and Power BI as BI visualization tools<br>5+ years of working knowledge for key cross functional Operations business processes, with practical experience data management preferred</p><p>Knowledge,Skills, Abilities:<br>Expertise in designing DAX queries in Power BI desktop<br>Knowledge of MDX, M Query and Power Query<br>Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries to extract and analyze large volumes of data<br>Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) - Good to have<br>Proven ability to successfully execute implementation of multiple projects at a time and manage priorities<br>Ability to succeed in a fast paced, matrix structured environment</p>
