What impact you’ll make?

The Sr Sourcing Manager is responsible for defining and executing sourcing strategies for Non-Globalized commodities majorly on Legacy Alstom within Gas power Services and transforming the supplier base & operational processes for flow parts Quality, Delivery, Cost & Cash. He will also be responsible for leading the PMX SCS RFQ Management Team.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Define and Execute operational strategies on PMX SCS to drive better TAT and Quote upload leading to better engagement with the business teams to drive ITO wins and margin expansion on OTR.

  • Define and Execute sourcing strategies to drive Cost and Cash improvement for the applicable commodities under services sourcing’s responsibility

  • Lead and execute strategic initiatives for Lead time reduction, , On time Delivery, Pay term improvement, Supplier rationalization, Sole source reduction, LCC volume growth, CoF reduction, COFR and QMS compliance across Gas services sourcing

  • Own the Cost, Cash and Delivery KPIs for the services sourcing team and work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to exceed targets

  • Lead, Coach and Develop talents across commodity and fulfilment management teams and PMX SCS teams

  • Coordinate and lead the execution of key transactional lean events to improve the standard work and wing to wing processes that are impacting key sourcing KPIs on OTD, Back log reduction, Cost, Quality & Cash.

  • Own sourcing QMS compliance. Ensure DOA, Price approvals, Segregation of duties, competitive bidding policy adherence, supplier on boarding compliance and adherence to all other sourcing policies & procedures.

  • Develop supplier relations and drive strategic cost out actions to drive year over year savings (conducting supplier conferences, Vendor negotiations, Should costing, BCC spend increase,Total landed cost management etc )

  • Work with legal team and provide all required operational support to team on contact management, Data base storage, litigation supports etc.

  • Work with OM team, Materials team and Flow parts fulfilment team to execute strategies for meeting & Exceeding targets on OTD , Delinquency, Supplier Esccapes , Lead time reduction etc . Execute Daily Management and Standard work across the sourcing value chain for flow parts.

  • Manage fulfillment escalations and conduct PSRs and execute on continuous improvement actions together with suppliers

  • Lead and execute on various other initiatives driven by the business leaders as and when it occurs.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university (this is a must in Hungary) or equivalent experience

  • Significant industry experience with exposure to sourcing/global supply chain function

  • Major experience in commodity management

  • Fluent English knowledge (written and oral) is essential

  • Strong leadership skills for coaching, mentoring and motivating large team with senior sourcing members.

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SAP & ORACLE Systems, COPICS, BAAN and/or other purchasing systems

  • Green Belt / Black Belt Certified

  • GE program graduate (GE employees only)
