Senior SW Release Manager

As a result of our continued success, Aeris’ Connected Device footprint and roadmap is expanding and we are seeking a Senior SW Release Manager to our IoT Connectivity PMO.  This position will play an important role in our IoT Connectivity team and will be responsible for SW release activities across our whole portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Release management:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs

• Establish robust mechanisms for release planning, feature tracking, and product health monitoring across the portfolio

• Develop and maintain a centralized dashboard to provide visibility into the status of upcoming releases, key metrics

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making to prioritize features, resolve blockers, and enforce the agreed-upon release plan

• Partner with feature owners to monitor product health, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

• Champion the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the organization's release management capabilities

• Communicate the product roadmap, release plans, and key milestones to stakeholders at all levels, including executives

• Effectively manage multiple competing activities in parallel, demonstrating a keen ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.

Communication Skills:

• Possess excellent communication skills, both internally within the organization and externally with customers.

Initiative and Proactiveness:

• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, taking initiative not only at the project level but also contributing to the overall success of the Project Management Office (PMO).

Technical Understanding:

• Drive and support the design and deployment of 4G, 5G & cloud-based solutions for our existing customers and partners.

• Be able to engage in technical project discussion with customers, partners as well as with internal engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical project or program management experience

• 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

• 5+ years of software development experience

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and Jira.

• Experience from DevOps, CI/CD and SW release tools.

• Possess extensive experience in the telecom industry, particularly in 4G and 5G standards, as well as IoT (Internet of Things) and IP networks.

• Knowledge of cloud services, such as serverless computing, containerization, and microservices.

• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment.

• Bring experience in working globally and across different time zones, understanding the nuances of managing diverse and dispersed teams.

• Can do/get done attitude.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

• Excellent communicator
