Job Description

  • Develops assumptions of price and economic measures for strategic plans and budgets.

  • Supports the Head of Market Access in defining the broader P&MA requirements for new and existing products.

  • Secure implementation of Global Pricing policy, accurately reflecting the local environment.

  • Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions.

  • Supports, where required, regional strategic meetings (f.e. Region Europe Early Input Meetings) and early payer input meetings.

  • Gives strategic input regarding pricing strategy and create leadership position in the relevant working groups of local Industry and Authority Forums/Associations (Direct engagement and face to face meetings with pertinent stakeholders from the national authority and industry associations such as ARPIM, AmCham, etc. )

  • Demonstrate appropriate level of leadership experience to lead and influence, perform with high levels of competence, confidence and credibility. Work independently with limited direct supervision and manage workload to meet critical deadlines under challenging time constraints. Enterprise mindset that leads to tangible results and decision making.

  • Conduct International Reference Price (IRP) formulation and analysis for entire portfolio and implement an approach to drive strategic decision making

  • Management of Navlin submission and GS1 uploads (Authority pricing system) for Abbvie portfolio of the RO affiliate

  • Establish pricing and reimbursement analysis in the RO environment on the basis of Abbvie global pricing strategy in preparation for immunology , oncology and neurology asset launches.

  • Work closely with Finance and the various Brand Teams on Business cases proposing pricing scenarios with a best-class launch mindset in the RO environment

  • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing and reimbursement landscape to benchmark AbbVie products in the same therapeutic area, anticipate market pricing trends to validate pricing strategies

  • Develop and maintain price competitor data and reports across therapeutic areas of interest to the AbbVie portfolio

  • Prepares tools and supporting materials for negotiation and account teams (National and Regional): e.g. payer messaging and presentation kits. Support contracting and account management through price-volume trade-off analysis for our portfolio and initiate market access research projects to implement a win-win strategy for Abbvie and its customers

  • Develop pricing models to support business decisions (PVTO) and perform pricing research to support finance during LRP&PLN exercises for asset valuation over multiple years (trade-offs within and beyond indications).

  • Collaborate with finance and all relevant teams to prepare and submit clawback, cost-volume and cost -volume-results documentation ensuring the proper communication with relevant authorities (CNAS, ANMDM, MoH) which requires flexibility, frequent visits to authorities based on their availability.

  • Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies and communicate with BT the relevant information for developing the pricing strategies that align with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Master’s degree

  • Preferred candidate has experience price management with strong financial background

  • Ability to understand and analyze complex data, identify risks, develop recommendations, and implement solutions

  • Ability to understand the organization's strategy and apply to product pricing strategies

  • Strong curiosity towards the evolving market and pricing trends within and beyond RO market

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing legislation in Romania

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial planning process Abbvie

  • Familiarity with databases

  • Strong Excel, Power Point, Word skills
