Amgen Key Account Manager Oncology-Hematology - Timisoara in Bucharest, Romania

Main Scope:

  • Maximizes access for Amgen’s products in the designated territory (Timis, Bihor, Arad, Hunedoara, Gorj, Dolj)

  • Meets and exceeds ambitious objectives (sales targets, MS)

  • Networks and develops effective ethic-based relationship internal & external

  • Disseminates an in-depth knowledge of Amgen products, patient journey and how health system operates

  • Develops creative ideas for meeting topics & formats and assumes specific new projects to develop Amgen business at country level

  • Ensures relevant information is regularly shared with local team and other Stakeholders at Amgen, improving processes, knowledge or results

  • Lives the Amgen Values, is Role model, plays as a coach

Main Responsibilities:

Planning

  • Map decision processes and identify key decision makers, other players

  • Develop accounts action plan aligned with AMGEN strategy & sales targets based on in-depth systematic analysis of different data sets

  • Implement and monitor the approved action plan for priority accounts, shares results Vs expected and propose alternatives if the case

  • Contribute to development of the marketing/commercial strategy

  • Anticipates & communicates on competitive threats and opportunities. Takes the lead on gathering competitive intelligence.

Execution

  • Establish and manage high quality relationships to maximize sales of Amgen’s products towards HCPs and other stakeholders (hospital administrative directors, purchasers, finance officers, pharmacists and local health insurance house or distributors representatives) by providing high level of service

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of how retail practices, clinics and hospitals operate the different roles of stakeholders and their different needs in relation to Amgen portfolio needs

  • Ensure access of new products in hospital tendering formularies

  • Execute entirely the action plan aligned with Commercial team, based on PoA and Account mapping (TBP)

  • Work with DM and others to develop best practices

  • Demonstrates ability to access extra resources for projects from Cross-Functional Team

Tracking

  • Follow-up of sales, access, tenders

  • Reports daily customer activity in the CRM system and ensures customers recordings and customers' profiles are kept up-to-date

  • Follow-up and update account analysis, stakeholder analysis ensuring developing understanding of customer needs

  • Ensure agreed trackers are timely updated

Minimum Requirements:

  • University Degree

  • Minimum 6 years of experience of scientific promotion in a pharmaceutical industry sales related role

  • Detailed knowledge of and experience in a hospital environment

  • Proficient in delivering scientific/promotional presentations

  • Able to read scientific articles and understand key information

  • Fluency in local language (spoken, written) and conversation level in English

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving SMART objectives

  • Solid knowledge/ experience with computer systems (CRM databases, MS Office)

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn

  • Availability for business travel

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or (bio) medical sciences

  • In-depth industry and pharmaceutical industry sales practices knowledge

  • Experience in interacting with various disciplines and organizational levels

  • Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication

  • Thorough knowledge of the majority of decision makers in his/her area

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Customer Relation Management principles

  • Experience in project management on-the-job
