Amazon Sr Program Manager, GSO Global Strategy&Plans in Brussels, Belgium

Description

As a Sr Program Manager on the Global Strategy&Plans team, you will join a team of professionals supporting the wider Global Security Operations (GSO) business with organizational growth. To achieve this goal, you will own and drive complex projects as well as programs that have a strong emphasis on standardizing and optimizing processes.

For example, you will oversee project management approaches and ensure consistent use of project management solutions and standards across GSO to ensure consistency with org-wide goals. You will demonstrate a high degree of Ownership, have Bias for Action, and be responsible for your own work stream. You will collate and inspect data, track and report milestones, and present findings through weekly and monthly business reports. You will also prepare, maintain, and update project management databases.

Your implemented solutions will be realistic, standardized, optimized, and where possible automated. They will resolve defined business problems, be cost effective, scalable, measurable, adoptable, and operationally acceptable for our customers.

You will ensure all of your projects and programs align with organizational goals and objectives and they meet all relevant regulatory, legal, and labor requirements as well as obligations. You will also drive standardization across other PMO teams within the wider GSO org with their projects and programs related to people management, professional and organizational development, continuous improvement, change management, restructuring, standardizing, and optimization. Your scope of influence is internal customers from across GSO as well as customers and stakeholders across the Amazon network.

Key job responsibilities

• Own and drive complex projects and programs supporting organisational development and change management with a strong emphasis on standardising and optimising processes

• Support projects and programs related to people management, professional and organisational development, continuous improvement, change management, restructuring, standardising, and optimisation

• Ensure all your programs and initiatives align with organizational goals and objectives and they meet all relevant regulatory, legal, and labour requirements

• Collate and inspect data, track and report milestones, and present findings through weekly and monthly business reports

• Act as the lead for project management approaches and ensures consistent use of project management solutions and standards

Basic Qualifications

• A relevant degree or degree equivalent (e.g., business administration, project management)

• A project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM, Scrum)

• Relevant advanced experience delivering projects at international scale

• Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment, particularly Excel to collate and analyze metrics

• Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English

• A relevant advanced degree or advanced degree equivalent

• Relevant advanced experience in the personnel security field

• Relevant advanced experience in continuous improvement or organisational development projects (Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt)

• Relevant advanced experience with project management systems (e.g., Clarity, ASANA, MS Project, Playbook)

• Relevant advanced experience writing project charters, white papers, and business roadmaps
