Location/Division Specific Information

This role as Sales development and marketing representative will be responsible for building the growth of the pipeline within the life sciences Electron Microscopy division. You will help to increase our market across EMEA by supporting our program of events and customer meetings, helping to design and deliver engaging events, workshops and more.

In this role you will have an opportunity to work with researchers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, learn more about their research needs and help them to discover how the latest electron microscopy technology can drive their research forward.

A day in the Life:

  • Play a leading role in the deliver of our extensive events and workshop program across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

  • Engage with researchers from a range of fields including Biochemistry, Structural Biology, volume EM and cell biology research communities, helping to design and implement programs of activities tailored to the customers needs.

  • Nurture relationships with (potential) new customers as well as research leaders, creating and driving campaigns to inspire a broad range of researchers to adopt electron microscopy technology

Education

  • Master's degree in relevant subject area required / PhD preferred.

Experience

  • Highly developed listening and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to tune messaging depending on the audience and progression of the conversation, develop deep customer relationships and communicate credibility to gain insight into customers’ requirements.

  • Experience designing projects or campaigns and driving them independently, from inception to delivery and reporting, bringing together partners from different teams to get results.

  • Familiarity with electron microscopy technology, either in the life or material sciences

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to understand a customers needs and perspectives, and use this to craft engaging events and programs

  • Confidence dealing with data and data analysis

  • Creative and innovative self starter

  • Customer-focused approach.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Additional languages, especially French are an added bonus
