About the role

  • Our team, composed of 5 people, is integrated in the Corporate Industrial Excellence Team and focuses on elaborating excellence standards about production, supporting their implementation in all the manufacturing plants of our Global Business Units (GBUs) while actively supporting the digital acceleration of Solvay. We are actively collaborating with the technology team of the different GBUs, the site production units, and the industrial digital team.

  • As a Production Excellence Transformation Engineer, you will support the Production Excellence team in defining new standards in all aspects of Production Excellence (Safety, Yield, Energy consumption, Sustainability, Quality, OEE, …).

  • You will be accountable for

  • Collaborate with Digital teams to help develop new digital solutions allowing standardization and simplification of activities and processes.

  • Collaborate with the sites, the technology experts, the digital experts, and the sustainability experts to define and implement initiatives to improve consumption of Raw Materials and Utilities (through performance management, digital, and technology)

  • Collaborate with the sites, the technology experts, and the digital experts to define and implement initiatives to improve the level of production (through performance management, digital, and technology)

  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Excellence team to implement an Operator Asset Care Program

  • Deploy and inspire the change and performance management mindset, methodology, and toolbox

  • Transfer change management expertise (including toolbox & methodology) to the site stakeholders (Site Star Factory leader, change agents, shopfloor…), ensuring hands-on training and coaching

  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Chemical, or Processing Engineering.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing sites and process industry preferably.

  • Competencies

  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Italian and any other language is a plus

  • Digital savvy with an understanding of how digital and other emerging technologies can impact operations and drive simplification

  • Interested in the industrial manufacturing environment

  • Data-driven and result-orientedDrive to create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement
