About Division MSD

In the Semiconductor business unit within the Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD), we empower customers to discover answers that drive breakthroughs and shape the world. We create and support advanced microscopy workflows for micro-, nano-, and picometer scales, providing high-resolution images and insights on wafers and single chips. Our team of experts in electron and ion microscopy, along with their deep knowledge in electronics markets, is committed to supporting customers in their quest for discovery and solving global problems.

The Role

We are looking for you to strengthen the Field Service Team for our Electron Microscopy Service organization in the EMEA region. You will have your place of living in Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, or Sweden.

What will you do?

  • Travel across the region to customer sites performing primarily planned activities including on-site installation, and preventive maintenance.

  • Timely and accurate recording of your activities.

  • Document the work done and work according to standard operating procedures.

  • Provide continuous feedback to team members striving for continuous improvement and alignment with the objectives.

  • Finish the assigned training courses and pass the end of program performance and skills review.

  • Complete the 9-month EM Academy Graduate Program.

  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with Thermo Fisher Scientific colleagues and customers, assuring the highest level of customer experience.

  • Ensure full commitment and compliance to follow company policies including all position-specific Health and Safety laws and procedures.

What will you need?

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechatronics, mechanical/electrical/electronic, or any equivalent engineering major, or equivalent experience.

  • Graduates within the last 24 months or expected to graduate before the program start date preferred.

  • Able to obtain a valid passport and travel frequently as required up to 80%.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • IT skills in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.

  • Good English language skills in word and writing.

  • Interest in technology with motivation to develop skills and knowledge in service engineering.

  • Attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to carry out precision mechanical work.
