CSS Business Unit Controller

Location: Diegem, Netherlands

Full-time, permanent contract

You provide strategic financial leadership, direction and management to our CSS business ($40MM) in BeLux by being an integral member of the CSS commercial leadership team.

This includes the development, execution and review of strategies and action plans to improve the value of our portfolio and go-to-market models. Taking a lead role in the planning of revenue, allocation of resources and optimization of working capital. He/she will also work closely with the franchise sales and marketing managers to generate and execute relevant strategies and play a key role in assessing investment opportunities.

In addition, you ensure alignment and coordination with the FP&A teams, Shared Service Centers, and the Regional Finance teams while ensuring financial integrity and compliance to the J&J Corporate finance policies.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

• Strong partnership with CSS Commercial leadership team: Co-Lead, the local strategy and execution

• Delivery of the financial commitments, balance risks and opportunities and actively partner with the commercial leadership team to course correct as required

• Collaborate with leadership to influence and craft business decisions and support execution in order to create value for the organization

• Anticipate and position the organization to identify business opportunities and risks emerging from the external environment

Financial Planning & System Landscape

• Lead all major finance updates (Business Plan, Quarterly Close, Latest Thinking and Mid-term planning) for CSS business unit

• Engage with the business to identify and support new business opportunities and drive Profitability improvements

• Actively participate in business updates

• Monitor and steer fixed and working capital with a clear focus on ROI

• Support Signify/Magellan program, by adapting to and challenging technology implementations and setting us up for success in the long run

Compliance

• Meet all compliance requirements: (e.g SOX, HCC…)

Key relationships

Actively foster a deep collaboration between the business and all finance groups (e.g. GS, CTC, BUF, FP&A and Regional)

• CSS BeLux commercial leadership team

• Mid-size Markets Finance team

• FP&A (Pinewood)

• GS (Prague)

• Deliver Organization

• Tax CTC

• EMEA MedTech Finance

Qualifications

• University Degree (Master's or equivalent) in Finance or a related area; CPA, CMA certificates are a plus

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance is required

• A commercial mindset with a strong financial backbone

• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a plus
