Position Outline: Logistics/Receiving Associate

Position Description :
The Logistics/Receiving Associate supports a wide variety of Inbound and Outbound activities in support of day-to- day operations for all business units. This position coordinates inbound receipts and outbound shipments and handles multiple inbound/outbound customer service activities.
Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience working in a production environment providing inbound, outbound, and customer service activities and support.
Position Guidelines :
Inbound:
Coordinate and schedule inbound shipments (Manage Dock Schedule)
Coordinate and schedule inbound service related to client purchasing activities
Support receiving function when required (2945 / 2811)
And all other duties as assigned
Outbound
Coordinate and schedule LTL outbound shipments for all orders (2811 / 2945)
Obtain requirements for each shipment (Date Required, Delivery Requirements, etc.)
Complete quotes for each shipment
Obtain approval for shipping carrier / quote
Customer Service
Responsible for handling all carrier damage shipping claims
Responsible for researching customer complaints and lost items
Respond / resolve shipping exceptions
Communicate with carriers regarding service levels
Inform management of ongoing carrier performance issues
Skills Required :
Previous experience working with Parcel and LTL carriers
Previous experience with receiving process and procedures in a Distribution Center environment
Technical Skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access)
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Oral and written communication skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Towmotor certified
Skills Desired:
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Previous experience working with and in an application system

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
