- Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain stationary machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Verify dimensions and alignment with precision measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, vernier gauges, dial indicators, and gauge blocks).
- Perform various repairs to turbine rotors, journals, seals, diaphragms, bearings, pump valves, etc.
- Work with and make needed adjustments to bearings, gears, shafts, motors, couplings, and belts.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices (i.e., cranes, jacks, tractors, etc.).
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings.
