Psychiatrist - Child & Adolescent, Inpatient Hospital Category Provider - Physician. Psychiatrist. Responsibilities Diagnoses and provides treatment for people with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders and medical problems. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Leads the interdisciplinary team supporting PrairieCare's treatment programs and philosophy Assures the delivery of quality treatment to adults, adolescents, children, psychiatric, and substance use disorder patients, and their families consistent with Medical Staff privileges granted Services may be in delivered in the hospital, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient or residential programs Be familiar with follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children Conducting individual and family therapy Qualifications Licensed by the State of Minnesota to practice medicine. Must have successfully completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Ablity to maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, and advanced principles of abnormal psychology Ability to maintain information as highly confidential Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation Have computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook Ability to access and use intranet site as necessary Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances After training, be able to manage disruptive and explosive patients.
