Aston Carter Accounts Receivable Specialist in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota

Job Title: Accounts Receivable SpecialistJob Description

Evaluate past due accounts and determine the necessary collection action. Send customer statements, agings, and reminders for collections purposes. Work in customer portals for invoice submission, payment, and deduction information. Review account balances to be recommended for collection and write-off. Maintain customer accounts, including clearing deductions, invoices, and following up on open items. Submit requests to customer service for customer disputes. Monitor orders on credit hold hourly. Review large customer purchase orders for accuracy. Perform credit investigations on potential new accounts and existing customers. Assist in month-end close, generate reports, analyze data, and provide feedback. Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and some days remote.

Work Environment

The team is currently on Infor LN and transitioning to SAP. Core hours are 9 AM - 4 PM. Initially, the candidate will need to come into the office a few days a week until fully trained, then most of the team works in the office one day a week. The AR team consists of four people in MN, with additional support from a Cash App team in India. The company has a large, global presence with team members worldwide. The manager is very personable and seeks someone with a can-do attitude who is comfortable working independently. The team divides work alphabetically and handles a mix of small and large accounts.
