Sr. Human Resources Generalist Create value at TC Transcontinental

At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.We are currently looking for a Sr. Human Resources Generalist that will will play a critical role in supporting the execution of TC Transcontinental-Brooklyn site HR strategy and has the drive and ability to grow into an HR Manager role within TC Transcontinental. He/She will be responsible for providing a broad range of HR support to Leadership Team and overall team members, with responsibilities related to talent acquisition, on-boarding, payroll, coaching/training of People Leaders, recognition, engagement and performance management. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Human Resources and is a key partner to the business, working to diagnose issues, recommend, develop, and implement appropriate HR programs and processes which drive positive business results.What You Will Be Doing

  • Workplace Safety, Compliance, and Culture: Support a healthy and safe work environment by adhering to workplace regulations and policies, ensuring compliance with PPE and Food Safety procedures, and promoting the company's values and culture. Assist with cultural improvement initiatives, wellness activities, and community engagement, while advising on HR policies, employee relations, and compliance with local and federal laws.
  • Talent Acquisition and HR Support: Lead the full-cycle talent acquisition process for TC Brooklyn, including onboarding new hires, supporting employees on HR matters such as benefits and payroll, and providing guidance to management on workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and talent development. Recommend improvements in HR processes and strategies to address talent issues.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, eight years of HR experience, and certifications such as PHR/SPHR or MBTI/DISC. Experience in recruiting within a manufacturing/unionized environment and proficiency with HR systems is required.
