P OSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

New York University

The Montclare Research Group (http://montclare.poly.edu/) in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering (https://engineering.nyu.edu/) is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Associate with protein engineering and characterization expertise to work on an interdisciplinary and collaborative project focusing on developing cutting-edge protein engineering for biomaterials and biocatalysis.

New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, NY, is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world. The Montclare Research Group focuses on engineering proteins to mimic nature and, in some cases, work better than nature. We exploit nature’s biosynthetic machinery and evolutionary mechanisms to design new artificial proteins. The group focuses on two research areas: (1) developing protein biomaterials and (2) engineering functional proteins/enzymes for particular substrates with the aim of targeting human disorders, drug delivery, tissue regeneration and the environment.
