Teach and oversee Pilates instruction and supervise, manage and train other instructors to understand the role of therapeutic movement in the clinical setting for preventative and post recovery wellness programs. Perform individual or group sessions in exercise activities for the primary purpose of preventative goals and rehabilitation with focus on wellness, including women post-partum physical ailments and prospective physical. Impart knowledge relating to the application of therapeutic movement. Evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and develop suitable training programs to meet any special requirements. For clients in rehabilitation, all phases of rehabilitation can be worked with the Pilates method, from pain control to strengthening the muscles around the injury. Conduct a physical assessment with anamnesis, postural assessment, flexibility test, measurement of body measurements, skinfolds, body weight, height and cardiorespiratory assessment. Design detailed physical training program mixing aerobic activities, muscle strengthening, stretching and flexibility and motor coordination activities. The exercises and different movements chosen are to address any physical issues with an understanding muscles, participants' capabilities and limitations for rehabilitative purposes, pain management and for future wellness, particularly related to women’s health relating to multiple births and pregnancy. Demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them corrective measures necessary to improve their skills. Develop and implement individualized approaches to exercise. Observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement. Teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion. Monitor participants' progress and adapt programs as needed. Instruct participants in maintaining exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines. Conduct functional and therapeutic exercises including, but not limited to those for the pelvic region and the perineum muscle, essential for women’s health. Knowledge and use of equipment to further goals. Manage and supervise the work of other instructors. Identifying the educational needs of other instructors, train and teach other instructors. Two years’ experience required and experience must include assessment, rehabilitative therapeutic movement, pain management, and therapeutic movement for women. Experience also required in teaching.
