New York University Dentists | Clinical Faculty | Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York

NYU College of Dentistry is seeking qualified dentists for full time (5 days) clinical faculty positions for our practice in our new patient care facility in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to providing direct patient care and providing instruction to a select group of 4th year dental students under a new mentor-protégé model designed to increase efficiency and improve student learning. Under this mentor-protégé model, the instructor-practitioner will personally interview, select, and mentor student protégés or associates who will also be providing patient care alongside the faculty-mentor.

This will increase student clinical experience by increasing patient volume while allowing care to be delivered more efficiently than traditional dental school clinics. This new model will further extend oral healthcare to the community and will offer an important role-modeling opportunity for students by faculty and is designed to serve as a bridge for students who aspire to become associates in high-volume Dental Service Organizations upon graduation.

The position of practice dentist would also include entry (if desired) into a new certificate program called “TOP”— “Transition to Ownership Program” aimed at giving the practice dentist high level experience in running a practice with guidance in managing the finances, human resources, and everything else attached to running your own dental practice.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $120K - $180K. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of practice experience in General Dentistry and be able to demonstrate proficiency in Operative Dentistry, Endodontics, Digital Dentistry, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, Periodontics, and Esthetic Dentistry.

The candidate must also demonstrate a passion for patient care and a strong desire to build and maintain a high-volume practice in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

The candidate must be comfortable working and interacting with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds and have a commitment to inclusion and equity.

Candidates must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree and must be eligible for licensure in New York State.

NYU offers competitive compensation, including excellent benefits and incentives based on growth and production. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with credentials and experience.
