Robert Half Account Manager in Brooklyn, New York

Description

The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and supporting the finance team in various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This is a full-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

  • Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

  • Maintain Records: Organize and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

  • Prepare Reports: Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports, for management review and decision-making.

  • Handle Payroll: Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits, and ensure timely and accurate distribution to employees.

  • Manage Budgets: Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.

  • Assist with Audits: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information as requested.

  • Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
