What’s this job is about?
You will interact with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering by completing non-technical work that supports product developments and engineering change. You must prioritize multiple requests ensuring the most time sensitive requests are completed first.
You will work effectively with all members of the project team, use good judgement, and make effective decisions. As you become more comfortable in this role, you will be welcomed to suggest and contribute to process improvement efforts as we are always looking for ways to make our work easier and more efficient.
You will be expected to consistently complete quality work in a timely manner, and work independently, while quickly learning new tasks and be adaptable to changes in processes. You will also be expected to inspect your own work, pay attention to detail to ensure accurate information in Glovia, Windchill and Aegis.
Responsibilities:
You will support New Product Introduction (NPI) design by:
Being responsible for purchasing and managing NPI specific parts
Creating, managing, and assigning tasks for packets as needed in Windchill and Aegis for NPI design.
Creating Work Orders (WO) or collaborate with other factories to create WO for production to support the NPI schedule.
Reviewing Glovia for material availability for NPI WO and following the escalation process when issues arise.
Coordinating with line resources to ensure the team and the NPI line are prepared for an upcoming NPI build.
Pulling parts for NPI WO kits to support upcoming NPI builds.
Ensuring that parts are issued and delivered to the right place at the right time.
Tracking and reporting on NPI WO production status.
Updating the shipping priority list for NPI.
Ensuring completion of NPI WO and that completed parts are delivered to required Design and/or Manufacturing MPOG teams.
Other Functional Support tasks include:
Running reports, evaluate, and request changes for the latest part revisions.
Running reports, evaluate, and suggest changes for effective date changes.
Reviewing Item Planning Attribute request forms for completion.
Assist the Program Manager with tasks required to support factory production.
Participate in team and individual problem-solving activities.
Other tasks assigned as needed to fulfill customer demand and continuously improve.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Operations Management, or related field required.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Savvy with using a computer and learning new software. Glovia experience preferred.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
