What Woodworkers Do
Woodworkers operate and tend woodworking machines, such as rip saws and pencil pointers. Woodworkers are responsible for cutting and shaping wooden parts, and verifying dimensions using a template.
Minimum six-month experience preferred but will train
Must have valid driver's license, may operate vehicles
Forklift experience is a plus
The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday from 8:00AM-2:30PM. Some schedule flexibility is preferred.
Job description includes but not limited to:
· Load and secure products in a safe manner and work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment
· Assist other operators if needed
· Clean workstation and surrounding area making sure it is clean and free of debris
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Arrive on time and stay on task in order to contribute to better output and reaching production goals
· Able to work well in an industrial environment, and as part of a team
· Understand and follow oral or written instruction issued by supervisors
· Able to perform the job with limited supervision
