GUHRING INC Shipping Supervisor in BROOKFIELD, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Materials Manager-Standard Products, this position is responsible for the daily activities for the shipping and handling of all standard inventory and manufactured products related to our customers\' orders of tools and supplies. This includes supervision of multiple shifts, cycle counting, shipping and logistics. This position is also responsible for the handling of return goods, and mailing printed sales and marketing material. In addition, complete strategic projects and tasks, planning and motivating other and playing an active role in supervising the warehouse. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Directly supervise all warehouse employees including full time, part time and temporary labor. Prepare work schedules, assign work and oversee the work product. Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling of disposition of material and keeping warehouse inventory accurate and current. Utilize SAP to accurately record goods receipts, transfers, shipping, special overruns, returned goods etc. to facilitate accurate inventory accounting measures. Maintain company standards for quality and productivity. Review daily reports and communicate data regarding on time delivery performance. Receive and inspect all incoming RGA\'s generated from warehouse and shipping errors. Evaluate and document customer returns and communicate findings and corrective action plans. Communicate with maintenance on all warehouse equipment that is in need of repair. Ensure proper packing and identification of all packages being shipped to customers. Maintain safe working conditions and cleanliness of work areas for a professional image at all time. Ensure all material is placed in appropriate storage locations. Coordinate, monitor and document the training of new employees; maintain training records, evaluate ongoing training needs of workers and report recommendations to the Materials Manager. Update training material as process\'s change. Prepare employee performance evaluations and recommend appropriate salary adjustments. Develop and maintain positive employee relations and ensure open lines of communication with employees. Approve vacation schedules and other employee requests for time away from work. Fill in for employees as needed to maintain all shipping and receiving processes. Perform cycle counts on time and with continuous improvement in accuracy of inventory. Control costs related to all factory supply expenses. Maintain stock of packaging materials. Receive and unpack weekly shipments from Germany. Perform other duties and...
