responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for U.S. employees, ensuring timely and accurate bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls.

  • Manage multi-state payroll compliance, including tax laws, wage regulations, and company policies.

  • Oversee deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments) and ensure payments are made to third parties.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

  • Support payroll-related audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance.

  • Update and maintain employee records in the payroll system.

  • Configure payroll systems for benefit enrollments, including plan setup and eligibility accuracy.

  • Address employee inquiries on payroll, including timesheets, taxes, garnishments, and pay discrepancies.

  • Advise on payroll policies, schedules, and deductions.

  • Streamline payroll processes to improve accuracy and efficiency while implementing best practices.

qualifications:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

This position is non-exempt and will pay $65-70K depending on experience.
