Description
Provides home-based clinical treatment utilizing MST-SA Model and Implement an evidence-based model that pulls from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy and the social and ecological model
Works on a team of 3 therapists, 1 supervisor, 1 employment/education specialist, and one care navigator.
Manage caseload of 4 to 6 families and provide coverage for peer's caseload as needed, provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with assigned model.

Participate in weekly team supervision and consultation
Conducts 2 to 3 sessions with each family a week with youth and their families who are at risk of entering the Juvenile Justice System to prevent system entrance
Participate in weekly team supervision and consultation
Builds relationships with community stakeholders (i.e., child protection services, Guardians ad Litem, judges, schools, etc.) to ensure collaboration among service providers
Travels throughout assigned borough to conduct sessions with families. Each program serves families throughout the entire borough. Travels to 5 boroughs when needed during treatment.
Reports to assigned program supervisor or covering supervisor and attends weekly individual supervision.
Conducts assessments including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses and individualized treatment planning and conducts intakes as applicable.
Completes timely, clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts, case contacts and model adherent clinical progress.
Willingness to incorporate supervisor, consultant and peer feedback into case documentation and conceptualization
Manages multiple databases to comply with all stakeholder requirements, including ACS, MST model and OMH.
Adopts a strength focused approach with families, stakeholder, and within the program/treatment team.
Participates in all required agency, model and stakeholder trainings, individual and group coaching and staff meetings.
Adheres to MST-SA model expectations and implement with fidelity.
Willingness to meet families and clients in the community and/or places that meet their schedules; which may include accompanying them to psychiatric, school or other community appointments.
Attends weekly on-call meetings.
Provides 24/7 coverage during the week and participates on a weekend on-call rotational schedule as applicable
Consistently meets all program and model Key Performance Indicators (including session pacing, required casework contacts, successful client outcomes, timely completion of Family Assessment Service Plans, data entry, etc.).
Identify and address family risk factors that give rise to possible child removal, ACS involvement, and out of home placement due to continued referral behavior or new risk/safety factors. This includes the completion of safety plans and incident reports if necessary.
Maintains clear, concise and timely documentation of treatment efforts in progress notes and Family Assessment and Service Planning (FASP) that demonstrate compliance with the MST-SA model and supervisory review feedback.
Manages the extensive documentation requirements in all databases to successfully comply with mandates from agency, ACS and model.
Identify community-based resources for families, collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders/providers (i.e., ACS, schools, doctors, mental health providers, courts, etc.) to monitor participation in services and accompany families to appointments if needed.
Ability to make and manage own schedule (client sessions, completing paperwork and managing other stakeholder meetings)

Preferred experience:
Marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches
Substance abuse treatment for adults and children using behaviorally-based approaches
Behavioral therapy targeting behavioral change in children at home and school
Trauma treatment for adults and children using exposure and cognitive therapies
Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the family’s natural ecology (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)
Preferred Knowledge:
2-3 years of accumulated experience (internships through post-graduate) providing direct services to youth and their families in their homes and communities
An understanding and commitment to complying with the New York State Central Register of Abuse and Neglect protocol (requirements to report any suspected abuse, maltreatment or neglect of any child).
Experience with and willingness to work with culturally diverse population
Experience in managing direct service providers who engage with the identified populations or similar population in high-risk court-involved youth either in Family Court or Adult Court, Child-Welfare programs.
Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies.
Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood)
Family systems theory and application

Behavioral therapies theory and application
Cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and application particularly in the areas of trauma treatment and anger management
Exposure based cognitive behavioral trauma treatment
Pragmatic family therapies theory and application
