Perform secretarial and routine administrative duties. Provide support to patients during physician office hours and following office visit or surgical procedures. Support daily operation of physician office hours including coverage of front end. Prioritize assignments and organize functions to insure effective office operations. Perform diversified and complex clerical duties. Prioritize assignments and organizes functions to ensure effective clerical procedures. Rotate to mulitple clinical practices based on operational needs. This is a temporary position. Responsibilities: Schedule all Vascular Imaging procedures and obtaining authorizations and schedule all necessary ancillary appointments for surgical patients Contact all vendors for surgical procedures. All information will be obtained and followed up to ensure equipment is available in the OR Document patient encounters and phone notes into EMR. Scan all medical documents and financial information into EMR. Complete all alerts and flags in EMR in a timely fashion Obtain authorizations and schedule diagnostic studies: EKG's, MRI's, Cat Scans, Bone Scan's etc. Complete all EMR phone notes, alerts and flags and other correspondence Process patient paperwork in cohort with attending physician, schedule and authorize diagnostic studies for patients and surgical can processing all legal medical requests and correspondence. Provide necessary support and coverage for daily operation of physician office hours including front end, check out and any other office functions Screen and respond to telephone and mail inquiries. Research and prepare data in response to routine inquiries and assist physicians in preparing paperwork for insurance companies, work, and billing purposes to respond to requests for information Perform clerical duties including maintaining accounts, logs, and records, billing patients, providing phone coverage, process physician dictations and distributing mail. Provide clerical support for department Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment specific to physician/patient support. Ensure adequate office supplies to function efficiently Utilize PC programs and spreadsheet software to design forms and reports, store and retrieve information. May assist in administering PC based systems and resolving minor problems. Enhance department's capability to access and process information and improve interoffice electronic communication Coordinate departmental office functions including organizing clerical functions and determining priority of tasks to ensure efficient office operations Qualifications: High School Graduation or equivalent and completion of a business school course Three years of clerical experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office programs and other PC based systems/programs Requires knowledge of medical or equally complex terminology Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Superb interpersonal and customer service skills are required Epic trained preferred Fluent in Spanish required The hourly rate is $28.60 per hour.
